As a destination wedding photographer, I happen to travel all over Italy. This is thanks to the couples who choose me, instead of a local photographer, based upon my unique and unconventional style.
Traveling also means discovering new and fascinating places, such as Naples for example – one of my favourite cities in Italy! One of the most beautiful churches in Naples is undoubtedly the Monastery of Santa Chiara.
It was built at the beginning of the fourteenth century commissioned by the Angioini sovereigns. It is near Piazza del Gesù, and a stone’s throw from San Domenico Maggiore. The monumental complex of Santa Chiara is one of the most appealing monuments in Naples. What makes this place even more shocking is the internal cloister with its beautiful majolica tiles – the result of the refined skill and quality of the Neapolitan artisans.
A wonderful sense of harmony blossomed immediately between the newlyweds, Sossio and Antonella, and I. It wasn’t difficult to guide them throughout their photo shoot inside this magical place – which brings Andalusia to mind with its bright colours, and recalls the Spanish past of Naples.
The reception was absolutely magnificent: it is not an everyday occurrence being able to dine in such an exclusive location. I am always available to be called as a wedding photographer in Naples, I truly love the people, the colours, the aromas and the flavours of this city!
And just like Dean Martin sang, Naples … That’s Amore!
